Job title: Unit4-ERP Senior Systems Accountant
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
SystemsAccountants are working with a large UK public sector client, who are currently searching for a Unit4-ERP (Agresso) Senior Systems Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This role sits across the finance and IT departments, and will play a vital role in the delivery of the organisation’s new Unit4-ERP implementation project. You will lead the System Administration aspect of the project, specifically during the user acceptance testing and system deployment phases. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with all project teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of the final product being delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
* 1st & 2nd line support, and be able to escalate higher issues to Unit4 directly,
* Ensuring that finance system users operate with optimised processes,
* Responsible for reviewing, designing, and ensuring compliance with system controls, access, and workflows,
* Accountable for maintaining the data integrity of the system and ensuring its coding structure remains up-to-date, compliant with accounting standards, and relevant to the evolving operations of the organisation,
* Lead the System Administration workstream during the system implementation phase,
* Manage all Unit4-related incidents and requests, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
* Serve as the in-house Unit4 super user and expert, responsible for resolving issues, delivering training, and promoting best practices.
* Create financial reports using web-based reporting software (such as FP&A Tool and Power BI) to meet business requirements, providing insights and recommendations to management.
* Continuously improve systematic internal controls, processes, and the end-user experience.
Qualifications & Skills required:
* Proven experience in Unit4-ERP for at least 5 years,
* CCAB qualified accountant (CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) by education or demonstrable knowledge,
* Current and comprehensive understanding of financial accounting standards, year-end audit prerequisites, and financial policies, processes, and controls,
* Having experience in the charity or public sector,
* Demonstrate expertise in financial or accounting positions,
* Previous experience in system administration, particularly with Unit4-ERP,
* Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent software would be advantageous.
