My client is an organisation dedicated to enhancing and professionalising their approach to project management for their internal initiatives. As part of this journey, they are seeking a proficient Power Apps developer to configure and deploy the Microsoft Power Apps Project for the Web and Project Accelerator into their existing Microsoft 365 and Power BI environment.
Responsibilities
Project for the Web Support:
Setting up and optimising the Project for the Web application and Dataverse backend.
Providing environment best practice guidance and setup/configuration.
Configuring and advising on the default environment versus Dev, Test, Production, and other named environments.
Offering security/permissions best practice guidance and setup/configuration.
Configuring and advising on how projects can customise the application for their needs.
Advising on permissions to restrict visibility when appropriate while still maintaining portfolio roll-up functionality.
Providing licensing support by reviewing the current implementation and streamlining licenses/environments.
Project Accelerator Support:
Installing/validating and configuring the Project Management Office Accelerator (PMO Accelerator) and Power BI template for usage.
Customising Project Accelerator to align with process optimisation requirements for critical workflows.
Integration:
Clarifying data integration constraints and opportunities for Power BI, Project Accelerator, and Project for the Web data.
Integrating Project for the Web data with Power Platform Flows and Applications.
Communication, Collaboration, and Documentation:
Conducting regular calls with the Project Team.
Offering technical support during the engagement.
Conducting periodic reviews to resolve challenges.
Providing basic training to IT staff for effective software use.
Creating standard documentation detailing configurations made to ensure long-term sustainability and onboarding of new staff.
Specifications
Project for the Web and PMO/Project Accelerator functionality configured and usable by licensed users.
Error-free integrations between related products (Project for the Web, Project Accelerator, PowerBi, Teams).
Completed guidance materials covering the topics outlined in the deliverables.
