SAP ByDesign Systems Manager

London (hybrid)

£50,000 to £70,000 per annum

SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of our client to source a SAP ByDesign Systems Manager to assist with finalising/reimplementing their SAP ByDesign ERP system implementation. This full-time position would suit an individual with strong expertise in SAP ByDesign, who can implement more efficient processes, recommend changes in system usage, and lead integration projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough analysis of the current condition of the SAP ByDesign implementation, particularly focusing on finance processes.
• Gather requirements, assess current setups, and recommend/implement changes to optimize SAP ByDesign usage.
• Ensure the business is optimising its usage and understanding of SAP and getting the most out of the ByD software
• Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams, delivering SAP training to end-users.
• Champion client’s interests with the partner and manage the SI relationship.
• Set up reporting processes in SAP ByDesign and regularly create reports using the SAP ByD system
• Explore the possibility of utilising SAP for HR and CRM, including potential future modules like project management.
• Integrating SAP ByDesign with the existing bespoke CRM system
• Work hands-on to set up reporting, including automating revenue recognition.
• Address issues with historical data in the legacy ERP, including working on data migration and data cleansing.
• Create more efficient processes in SAP ByDesign usage.
• Explore options for reporting tools, such as Power BI or SAC Reporting, and manage the implementation and integration of a BI or EPM tool alongside the SAP ByDesign system in future

Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in a similar SAP ByDesign implementation or administration position
• Strong background in accounting, preferably using SAP ERP
• Ideally a background in accounting and finance
• Previous experience setting up reporting in SAP ByDesign
• Previous experience integrating a third party CRM system with SAP ByDesign
• Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance teams.
• Familiarity with SAP modules beyond finance is a plus.
• Prior exposure to data migration and cleansing projects.
• Broader knowledge of BI and EPM systems to recommend which additional reporting system should be brought alongside and integrated with SAP ByDesign
• Skills in MS Excel
