SAP Business ByDesign Functional Consultant

SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of our client based in London currently undergoing a major Finance Systems transformation piece having recently gone-live with the SAP Business ByDesign ERP. They are now looking for a SAP ByDesign expert to join their finance team, working with stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements and optimise their SAP ByDesign usage accordingly. The successful candidate will have a business and strategy orientated perspective, combined with a strong technical understanding of SAP ByDesign to enable the organisation to optimise the capabilities of the ERP system.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the current landscape of the SAP ByD implementation and set-up, identifying discrepancies in the alignment of technical aspects with business requirements.
- Collaborating with the key finance stakeholders to understand the core finance processes and translate this into the SAP Business ByDesign ERP.
- Provide systems knowledge and valuable insights into the capabilities of the SAP ByD platform and effective processes.
- Propose and implement changes to align SAP ByD with the business needs.
- Champion the needs and priorities of the business in meetings and discussions with the Partner.
- Assist in the integration of SAP ByDesign with 3rd party systems, including the newly implemented SAP Analytics Cloud BI system.
- Optimise SAP ByDesign to streamline financial processes and operations.
Role Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working on SAP Business ByDesign projects.
- Strong Finance background with a part or full Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, FCMA etc.)
- Strong background in financial reporting.
- Project Management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with the SAP Analytics Cloud would be beneficial, or knowledge of other planning and consolidation tools.
- Experience working in the financial sector would be beneficial.
