As the SAP Production Planning Consultant, you will collaborate with the Supply Chain teams to integrate and optimize SAP solutions and processes. This role is pivotal for the successful adoption of SAP’s Production Planning module during initial deployments in Connecticut, Arizona, and New Jersey. You will be the primary SAP expert, responsible for stabilizing the initial go-live in Connecticut, delivering team training-including for new hires-serving as the main contact for business users, and acting as a liaison with the SAP team for technical issues. Your duties will also involve creating and maintaining documentation, addressing non-technical issues like training, access, and data concerns. Additionally, you will prepare two future deployment sites (large CPG facilities) by performing gap analysis, system demos, and data preparation. Your focus will be on key Production Planning elements, including organization structure setup, materials data, Bills of Materials, Work Centres, Routings, Products, and integration with other SAP modules such as SD, MM, QM, FICO, and PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Rollouts: Oversee the implementation of SAP/S4HANA solutions and processes across designated markets, with a focus on Production Planning and Execution.
- Deliver Implementation Milestones: Ensure timely completion of implementation deliverables for portfolio projects and enhancements.
- Conduct Gap Analysis & Testing: Lead user gap analysis, acceptance testing, data migration, and change management for SAP S4 HANA, guided by the SAP team.
- Develop Training Materials: Create high-quality project, user training, and support content in various formats.
- Facilitate Training and Demos: Conduct system and process demonstrations, training sessions, and conceptual presentations to upskill the user community.
- Resolve User Issues: Address user issues promptly, either directly or by coordinating with the SAP support team.
- Manage User Access: Identify and provision access for users based on their job requirements.
- Perform UAT: Create use cases, test scripts, and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Maintain Documentation: Keep Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Supply Chain system processes up-to-date.
- Provide Status Updates: Regularly update Business leadership on project status.
- Adhere to Deadlines: Ensure timely implementation and avoid delays by meeting internal and cross-functional deadlines.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Production Processes.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in SAP Production Planning and 2+ years with S4 HANA.
- Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning as an end user, key user, or super user; advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently in an organized manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing, CPG, or cannabis company.
- SAP Implementation: Prior experience with SAP implementation projects.
