What is the Context of the Company and Role?

Join an end customer organization currently seeking an IT Finance Systems Expert to join our technology team. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation of our suite of finance systems.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Support the business to maximise usage of the finance systems suite.
• Carry out relevant reporting and performance metrics related to finance systems.
• Develop expertise in supporting and managing the portfolio of financial systems.
• Collaborate with financial systems users to manage change requests.
• Ensure that changes are managed and documented in compliance with regulatory requirements, working closely with the IT Compliance function.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by adopting best practices and industry standards.
• Maintain awareness of data and system security, coordinating with the IT Security Team to enforce protections.
• Ensure that metrics are maintained and visible through suitable reporting mechanisms, providing updates on all releases.
• Identify and implement improvements to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance standards are met and adhered to in line with IT and Finance regulatory standards.
• Manage budgets, build forecasts, track costs, and improve efficiency through vendor management in collaboration with the procurement function.

What Skills and Background Will I Need?

• At least 5 years of experience working with finance systems.
• A university degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related.
• Knowledge of HFM, Oracle Fusion, Treasury systems, and other finance systems ideally.
• SQL and VBA skills are required.
• A strong understanding of finance and accounting practices, especially corporate month-end and consolidation processes, and accounting principles, including business planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Strong experience in change control, release and deployment management, and familiarity with tools like JIRA.
• Professional presentation and excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
