A prominent insurance company is seeking a skilled Regulatory Reporting Specialist with expertise in Business Intelligence (BI). As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will leverage your BI expertise to manage, analyze, and report critical financial data, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS 17, IFRS 9, Solvency II, and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with finance, actuarial, and risk management teams to gather, validate, and analyze data required for regulatory reporting.
- Develop and maintain robust processes and controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory submissions.
Business Intelligence and Data Management:
- Utilize BI tools and technologies to extract, transform, and analyze financial data for regulatory reporting purposes.
- Design and implement BI solutions that support regulatory reporting needs, including dashboards and automated reporting processes.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting systems, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk, and compliance teams, to understand reporting requirements and provide insights.
- Communicate complex regulatory reporting information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on current reporting processes.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline regulatory reporting processes through automation and improved data management.
- Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory reporting, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy.
- Keep up to date with industry best practices and incorporate them into the organization’s reporting framework.
Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory reporting processes and BI tools for relevant stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of regulatory reporting processes, including methodologies, data flows, and control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in regulatory reporting within the insurance industry, with a focus on IFRS 17, IFRS 9, and Solvency II.
- Strong proficiency in Business Intelligence tools and technologies, with hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and their implications for insurance companies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
