Who is the company and context?
An international leader in the insurance industry is looking to bring on board an experienced Adaptive Planning Consultant to support their growing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) operations. This company offers a wide range of insurance products and services, spanning life, non-life, and reinsurance activities across several global markets. As part of their mission to enhance financial processes and drive innovation, they are seeking a skilled consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Adaptive Planning solutions. You will work closely with finance and cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and optimize the platform in line with the company’s strategic goals.
What will I be doing?
System Implementation and Integration:
- Play a key role in the implementation and integration of the new consolidation tool across the organization.
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design financial reporting solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure successful configuration and deployment of the new consolidation platform in line with company objectives.
Technical Expertise:
- Maintain and configure the new consolidation tool so that it meets evolving business requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the new consolidation tool, providing insights and solutions as needed
Data Management and Reporting:
- Develop and implement financial reports within the new consolidation tool, ensuring they are aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Create and manage interfaces between new consolidation tool and other financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
User Training and Support:
- Document training materials and provide comprehensive training sessions to end-users and support teams.
- Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Follow change management processes when implementing or modifying reports in the new consolidation tool.
What kind of skills and background will I need to have?
- A Master’s degree in business, computer science, systems analysis, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SQL is a strong advantage.
- A team player who can also work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Results-oriented and hands-on, with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
