My client, a leading insurance and banking institution, are seeking a Workday Finance Solution Architect. This organization is at the forefront of integrating advanced financial management solutions to streamline their operations and enhance their service offerings. The role is key in ensuring the company’s financial processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with their strategic objectives.
What Will I Be Doing?
Solution Design and Implementation:
Lead the design and implementation of Workday Financial Management solutions, making sure they meet business needs and industry best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive Workday architecture documentation, including integration and data flow diagrams.
System Configuration and Optimization:
Configure and optimize Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.
Ensure system configurations align with business processes and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the Workday platform.
Project Management and Leadership:
Lead Workday Financial Management implementation projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful delivery of solutions.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.
Technical Integration and Support:
Design and oversee integrations between Workday and other financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Workday Financial Management modules.
Stay current with Workday updates and enhancements and assess their impact on existing configurations and processes.
Training and Documentation:
Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and stakeholders on Workday Financial Management modules.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and integrations.
What Kind of Skills and Background Will I Need to Have?
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience with Workday Financial Management, including hands-on configuration and implementation.
A strong finance background with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
A proven track record of leading Workday implementation projects in a financial or banking environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
