Our client is seeking an SAP Sales (SD) and Production (PP) Specialist to collaborate with their Supply Chain teams in implementing and optimizing SAP solutions. This role will serve as the primary expert on SAP Sales and Production systems, ensuring effective adoption during deployments in Connecticut, the Northeast Region, and New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the stabilization of the initial go-live phase in Connecticut, providing training and support to team members, including onboarding new hires.
- Act as the first point of contact for business users, facilitating communication with the SAP technical team to address issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, and resolve non-technical issues related to training, access, and data management.
- Prepare for upcoming deployments at large consumer packaged goods facilities by conducting gap analyses, system demonstrations, and data preparation.
Role Scope Includes:
- Managing SD components such as customer master data, finished goods and batch management, integration with wholesale selling applications and regulatory compliance systems, as well as overseeing standard sales orders, deliveries, and billing processes within SAP.
- Overseeing PP components, including organizational structure setup for plants, material data, Bills of Materials, Work Centers, Routings, and Production Planning & Execution, including demand management and capacity planning, while ensuring integration with other SAP modules.
Essential Duties:
- Direct the implementation of SAP/S4HANA solutions across assigned markets as they transition to the new system, specifically within Sales and Production domains.
- Ensure all project deliverables are met on schedule as the Business Lead for various initiatives.
- Conduct user gap analyses, facilitate acceptance testing, manage data migration, and oversee change management in coordination with the SAP team.
- Create high-quality training materials and user support content in various formats.
- Deliver system demonstrations and training sessions to enhance user understanding and skills.
- Address user issues promptly, either directly or by collaborating with the SAP support team.
- Identify users and roles requiring access to perform their tasks effectively.
- Develop use cases, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and create appropriate test scripts for UAT sessions.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Supply Chain processes.
- Provide regular updates on project status to leadership.
- Meet deadlines across departments to ensure timely implementation.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Sales & Distribution and Production processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP Sales & Distribution and Production Planning.
- At least 2 years of experience working with S4 HANA.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Sales & Distribution and/or Production Planning modules, ideally in a key user or super user capacity.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Office, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
