About the Company and Role
Our client, a premier insurance and banking institution, is in search of a Finance Systems Manager to join their dynamic team. As a Finance Systems Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the company’s financial processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
System Management and Optimization:
- Oversee the management, configuration, and optimization of finance systems, including modules for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Ensure system configurations meet business needs, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within finance systems.
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Lead the design and implementation of financial management solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, IT, and business units to analyze processes and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, integration, and data flow diagrams.
Project Leadership and Management:
- Manage finance systems implementation projects, overseeing planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Effectively manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
Technical Integration and Support:
- Design and manage integrations between finance systems and other business applications, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for finance system modules.
- Stay up-to-date with system updates and enhancements, assessing their impact on current configurations and processes.
Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and stakeholders on finance systems.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and integrations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with finance systems management, including hands-on configuration and implementation.
- Strong background in finance with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proven experience in leading finance systems implementation projects, preferably within a financial or banking environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
