Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance Operations:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and monthly closing processes.

  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards.

  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to align with organizational goals.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including IRS reporting requirements for nonprofits (e.g., Form 990).

  • Lead annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

NetSuite ERP Administration:

  • Serve as the organization’s NetSuite subject matter expert and system administrator.

  • Oversee and optimize the NetSuite ERP system to support accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes.

  • Develop and implement enhancements, workflows, and dashboards within NetSuite to improve efficiency and reporting.

  • Provide training and support to staff on NetSuite functionality and best practices.

  • Collaborate with IT and leadership to ensure system integrity, upgrades, and integrations.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a small accounting and finance team, fostering growth and professional development.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and program managers to provide financial insights and recommendations to support organizational strategy.

  • Support grant management processes, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance for restricted and unrestricted funds.
