Introduction to the Position
Our client, a rapidly growing and profitable start-up that has recently secured Series C funding, is looking for a talented German-speaking Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-growth business that uses NetSuite ERP to streamline their accounting processes. As an Accountant in this dynamic start-up, you will play a key role in managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the team’s growth trajectory. Your Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure adherence to German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations
  • Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and other internal stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy
  • Leverage NetSuite ERP to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and internal controls within the organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Experience in accounting, ideally within a start-up, growth, or financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
