Introduction to the Position
Our client, a rapidly scaling business with plans for an upcoming IPO, is seeking a highly skilled German-speaking Accountant to provide day-to-day accounting support. This exciting opportunity is with a high-growth company that is currently being audited and uses Workday Financials to streamline its financial operations. As an Accountant in this dynamic environment, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s accounting needs while ensuring accuracy and compliance. If you have a strong academic background in finance or tax consulting and are eager to be part of an organization preparing for a major milestone, this role is an excellent fit.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards and tax regulations
- Assist with the ongoing audit process and collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders
- Leverage Workday Financials to optimize accounting workflows and reporting efficiency
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal financial controls and processes
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, or Tax Consulting
- Experience with day-to-day accounting tasks, preferably in a scale-up or growth-stage company
- Familiarity with local accounting regulations and tax requirements
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financials or other ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
