Overview: The Workday Administrator is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Workday system. This role collaborates with key stakeholders in various departments, including Finance, Supply Chain, Human Capital Management (HCM), Benefits, Payroll, and Recruiting, to ensure seamless system operations. The Workday Administrator will lead system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, provide training, and ensure data integrity across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Strategy & Development: Lead the development and execution of the Workday systems strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and improving operational efficiency.
- System Implementation & Upgrades: Oversee the implementation of system upgrades, manage training for users, and effectively communicate any changes in functionality or system features.
- Collaboration & Solution Implementation: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to configure, test, and implement solutions that optimize Workday functionality and meet business requirements.
- Consultation & Automation: Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to identify automation opportunities and implement effective solutions to enhance system performance.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the point of contact for system capabilities, offering guidance on design changes and modifications across various functional areas including HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Payroll.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Work with business stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Reporting & Analytics: Manage and execute the scheduling of routine and ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to governance processes, data security, and privacy requirements. Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Documentation & User Training: Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation, user manuals, and training materials. Provide training and support to new users across various Workday modules.
- System Maintenance & Security: Oversee user access management, system configurations, and security measures. Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with established standards.
- Process Improvement & SOP Maintenance: Assist with the creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Workday modules, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Customer Service & Support: Deliver high-quality technical support and customer service to internal stakeholders. Resolve issues promptly and maintain a high level of service excellence.
- Other Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the Workday system and support business needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with multiple Workday modules, including HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, and Payroll.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one module, with a strong working knowledge of additional modules.
- Workday certification in at least one module is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR/SHRM-CP, SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or multi-site/state organizations is a plus.
