Synergy Health plc is a global leader in outsourced sterilisation services for medical device manufacturers, hospitals and other industries. A truly global, yet niche and innovative business they have revenues of over £350m and they operate a complete range of technologies, including in Switzerland the world’s first pallet x-ray irradiator.
The challenge:
Because of high organic growth and acquisitions, Synergy’s accounting, production and distribution systems had become disparate and were largely unsupported. The resultant process and MI/reporting deficiencies led the client to initiate a project to standardise global Finance and Production software, data and reporting. The scope included 15 countries, 91 Sites and 800 users.
The solution:
SystemsAccountants was retained to provide an Interim ERP Selection Project Manager to execute an analysis and selection exercise. Our PM undertook a global review of all current Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing requirements, produced a detailed RFI (Request For Information), managed a vendor engagement, response and selection process; and guided the client through to selection. MS Dynamics AX, Sage X3, Epicor, SAP All-in-One, Exact, and Infor all made the long list;IFS was deemed to meet the client’s needs as a best-fit.
The outcome:
Our PM developed a global implementation strategy including Project Implementation Team structure and rollout plan; recruited and inducted internal and external resources, developed the change management strategy, and established the project governance (project board and regional steering groups). Once the project had moved out of design, build and test, and into rollout, our PM handed over to a BAU team to migrate the systems into production.
