OPEX accountant
Are client is looking for a forward-looking, analytical and operational Accountant to take ownership of the OPEX reporting. You will have overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for OPEX for the client. You will be an important contributor on both administrative and operational matters related to group OPEX.
Responsibilities
- Taking ultimate responsibility for all operating costs across all of the clients companies, including preparing commentary for the senior finance and management teams
- Owning the group budgeting and forecasting process for operating costs
- Analyse operating cost trends and provide insights to management
- Assist with the preparation of OPEX-related financial statements and disclosures
- Assist with the implementation of new recognition systems and processes
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure operating costs are optimised and regular reviews of the operating cost base are performed to identify potential cost savings
Qualifications/ skills required:
- Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA)
- Proficient in NetSuite (super user)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- IFRS reporting required
- Local European GAAP reporting experience beneficial
- European languages would be beneficial
