Introduction to the Position
Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Mannheim, is looking for an Accountant specializing in Subscription & Revenue Management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing subscription revenue recognition, billing processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the finance team to optimize the revenue recognition process and provide key insights into the company’s subscription-based revenue model. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced environment and contribute to the financial success of a growing organization. Relocation to Mannheim is required for this position.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage subscription-based revenue recognition in line with IFRS and local accounting standards
• Oversee the billing process for subscription contracts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
• Monitor and reconcile subscription revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to manage subscription renewals and changes
• Analyze subscription data and provide reports on key metrics such as churn, customer lifetime value, and revenue growth
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements related to subscription revenue
• Ensure the proper implementation of subscription-related processes and policies across the finance department
• Support audits and internal controls related to subscription revenue and billing processes
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve revenue management and optimize subscription-based financial operations

Desired Qualifications

• Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on subscription revenue recognition or similar areas
• Strong understanding of IFRS or local accounting standards related to revenue recognition
• Experience working with subscription billing systems and ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large volumes of data
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
• CPA, ACA, or equivalent qualification is a plus
