Adaptive Planning Consultant
Who is the company and context?
A well-established consulting firm is seeking a skilled Adaptive Planning Consultant to support a client in optimizing their financial planning and analysis capabilities. The client, a prominent organization, is committed to enhancing their budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes through the Adaptive Planning platform. As an Adaptive Planning Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and fine-tuning the platform to ensure it meets the client’s business needs and supports their strategic objectives.
What will I be doing?
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Lead the design and implementation of Adaptive Planning solutions tailored to the client’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate them into effective Adaptive Planning configurations.
- Ensure that the Adaptive Planning architecture is aligned with best practices and the client’s strategic goals.
Platform Configuration and Optimization:
- Configure and optimize Adaptive Planning modules to enhance financial workflows, improve accuracy, and streamline reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the platform, ensuring that it delivers maximum value to the client.
- Provide ongoing support and make adjustments to the platform as the client’s business needs evolve.
Project Management and Leadership:
- Manage Adaptive Planning implementation projects, overseeing all phases from initial planning through execution and post-implementation support.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to project teams, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
- Coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with client stakeholders.
Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and client stakeholders on the use of Adaptive Planning.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure smooth operations.
What kind of skills and background will I need to have?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with Adaptive Planning, including hands-on configuration and implementation.
- Strong financial planning and analysis background, with a deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Proven experience in managing Adaptive Planning projects, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
