Introduction to the Position
Our client, a rapidly growing company in Mannheim, is seeking an experienced Consolidation Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation process, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring the smooth integration of their ERP system into the company’s financial processes. You will lead a team, maintain accurate consolidated financial statements, and coordinate reporting across various subsidiaries. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to play a key role in the company’s financial operations. Relocation to Mannheim is required for this position.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries and business units
  • Lead the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with accounting standards
  • Support the integration and optimization of the ERP system, ensuring it aligns with consolidation and reporting requirements
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on technical and operational issues
  • Review and prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Analyze financial data to ensure accurate consolidation and reporting of intercompany transactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Provide insights to senior management regarding financial performance, risks, and compliance

Desired Qualifications

  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Proven experience in consolidation accounting, with a strong understanding of IFRS and local accounting regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems, with a strong understanding of their role in financial consolidation and reporting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team
  • In-depth knowledge of financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, and reporting processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • A background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
  • CPA, ACA, or equivalent qualification is a plus
