Introduction to the Position

Our client is currently working with DATEV and is planning to transition to a new cloud ERP system, with a go-live date set for the end of 2025. In the meantime, they are seeking an experienced accountant who is proficient in DATEV to handle day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This role will involve working with IFRS, subsidiary management, and improving accounting processes as the company prepares for future growth and a potential IPO. As the company is rapidly expanding and opening new subsidiaries, they require an individual who can set up processes, manage increased workloads, and work independently without micromanagement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Handle IFRS reporting and subsidiary accounting
  • Support in the transition from DATEV to the new cloud ERP system
  • Improve and streamline accounting processes in preparation for future growth
  • Set up and manage accounting processes for new subsidiaries
  • Assist with VAT compliance and related tasks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all financial reporting and documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Work independently, managing increased workload and adapting to a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to the overall financial strategy and support in IPO preparations

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in DATEV (knowledge of the system is essential)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and subsidiary management
  • Experience working with cloud ERP systems (ie Netsuite/Dynamics BC/Workday Financials)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • German language skills at a B2 level
  • Proven experience in improving and streamlining accounting processes
  • Ability to adapt to rapid company growth and changing demands
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
