Job Description: Finance Project Manager – EPM, Financial Reporting tools

What is the context of the role?

You will be joining a large international business, working within the CFO transformation office. The focus of your role will be on managing finance-related projects that involve implementing and optimizing technology solutions to support both internal and external reporting requirements. This is a dynamic environment where you will collaborate with experts across various fields to drive projects that enhance financial reporting and compliance.

The company is going through an array of major finance transformation programmes, including selecting a new reporting tool for finance. Hence, there is a 3+ year roadmap of change for IT Finance which you can get involved with!

What will I be doing?

• Leading and managing finance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and external consultants, to implement technology solutions.
• Facilitating communication between stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly understood and met.
• Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, and tracking progress against these metrics.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Preparing and presenting project status reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

What skills and background will I require?

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• University degree in Finance, IT, Business areas are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the finance domain.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Experience with technology solutions related to finance, such as EPM, ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and data analytics platforms, e.g. OneStream, SAP EPM, CCH Tagetik, SAP, Power BI, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
