Introduction to the Position
Our client, a well-established company located in Mannheim, is seeking a German-speaking Financial Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of financial accounting tasks while utilizing NetSuite to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. As a key member of the finance team, you will handle day-to-day financial operations, support month-end and year-end closings, and work on financial reporting and analysis. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in financial accounting, particularly within a NetSuite environment, looking to contribute to a growing business.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure adherence to local accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations
- Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting tasks, streamline financial operations, and generate reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and internal controls
- Assist with audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Previous experience in financial accounting, ideally within a NetSuite environment
- Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and local accounting regulations (HGB)
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
