Group Accountant (NetSuite)

Type: Liability

Salary: £75,000 pa

Location: London (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite)

My client is looking for a forward-looking, analytical, and operational Accountant to take ownership of the group reporting. You will have overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for the client’s Balance Sheet. You will be an important contributor to both administrative and operational matters related to group Balance Sheet Accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Taking ultimate responsibility for group reporting of balance sheet liability accounts including current borrowings, revolving credit facility, IFRS 15 & 16 liabilities, employment, VAT and corporation tax liabilities, etc. and preparing commentary for senior management
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account analysis within NetSuite
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in balance sheet management
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications/ skills required:

• Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA)
• Proficient in NetSuite (Super user)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• IFRS reporting required
• Local European GAAP reporting experience is beneficial
• European languages would be beneficial
