Power BI Finance Analyst Opportunity
Location: London 3 days a week, WFH 2 days
Day rate £650
Outside IR35
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Power BI Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of finance processes and data analytics within the general financial services sector. This role demands a proactive individual who is outcome-driven and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance leads and sponsors to drive financial projects and transformation programmes.
- Analyse financial data, document current and future processes, and update training materials for readiness activities.
- Engage with Leads to design new ways of working and produce high-quality artefacts for decision-making and audit purposes.
- Ensure clear communication of analysis and solutions to IT developers and Business Analysts.
- Support the delivery of user stories in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Utilise Power BI to create dashboards and heat maps for key financial reporting.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Finance Change Data Analyst.
- Qualified/Part Qualified accountant.
- Power BI report building expertise.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with technical SMEs.
- Adept at exploring and challenging existing processes while being mindful of organisational culture.
- Proficient in documenting clear business definitions, process flows, and requirements.
- Experience with data quality frameworks and identifying data defects.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and documenting new ways of working.
- Demonstrable experience of producing training materials.
- Demonstrable experience of analysis of accounting data.
- Advanced Excel skills (including PowerPivots) and Power BI configuration skills.
