SAP ByDesign Consultant
Day rate contract outside of IR35
Cambridgeshire (hybrid)
SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of a SAP ByDesign end-user looking to bring on a SAP ByDesign specialist to deliver a series of projects to optimise their current system landscape. The consultant will drive key improvements in revenue recognition, accounts payable approvals, and functional currency transition while optimizing overall system efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
- Act as the SAP ByDesign subject matter expert and advise SAP best practice for the business
- Streamline and automate the billing and revenue recognition processes, suggesting and delivering improvements and essentially reimplementing their revenue recognition function.
- Implement an AP approval workflow to replace the current manual process and allow for greater visibility of tracking invoices and payments, working closely with cost centre.
- Support the transition to USD functional currency.
- Conduct a business process review to identify missing functionality and opportunities for improvement in SAP ByDesign.
- Provide guidance on SAP Business Analytics adoption.
- Design a roadmap for continuous improvement in SAP ByDesign
Role Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of SAP ByDesign experience
- Strong SAP ByDesign knowledge of configuration and process improvements
- Previous experience implementing revenue recognition and accounts payable function in SAP
- Ideally a Chartered Accountant, with strong finance and accounting knowledge, particularly in revenue recognition.
- Experience with AP workflows, financial reporting, and system integration.
- Ability to engage with finance teams and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to commute to Cambridgeshire 1x a week.
