As a Sr. Workday Financials Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Finance team, focusing on the oversight and management of a financial management platform and associated tools. Your hands-on expertise will be supported by a strong background in finance and experience in system implementation, configuration, integration, and administration. This position will require you to serve as the main liaison among business transformation efforts, IT, and Finance, assisting users in various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead decisions regarding configuration and the design of business processes within the financial management system, ensuring effective maintenance and support.
  • Participate in regular system updates, including user testing, documentation, and training on new features and enhancements.
  • Represent the Finance team in the deployment of financial technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the integration of diverse projects into the financial management system.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application configuration and processes.
  • Manage a library of reports and develop custom reporting solutions as needed.
  • Recommend and implement policies and standard operating procedures to enhance system controls and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee system management, focusing on enhancements and comprehensive documentation.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise across various system modules.
  • Train and support finance staff to optimize their use of the system and reporting tools.
  • Conduct maintenance activities and business process testing, managing custom fields, workflows, and user roles.
  • Ensure effective technical support and change management for the platform, focusing on data governance and process improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with financial management systems in an expert or administrative capacity; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with additional financial software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, specification writing, and collaborating with users.
  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles; additional certifications are beneficial.
  • Motivation to drive positive change within the organization.
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
